SHOW YOUR SUPPORT FOR THE MONTOUR PRESERVE

The staff and volunteers of the Montour Area Recreation Commission (MARC) are working hard every day to care for the Montour Preserve and other parks and trails throughout Montour County.  Show the world that you’re helping to make your ‘MARC’ by donating today.  100% of your donation will go directly to caring for the Montour Preserve.  In return, you’ll get our 2020 Montour Preserve Supporter silicone dog tag and sticker so you can show the world you’re doing your part to care for what matters to you.

Please click on the image to the left to download the donation form.  Please print and complete the form, then return it to MARC to make your donation, sign up to learn about upcoming volunteer opportunities and make your ‘MARC’ for parks and trails in Montour County.

Please note: donations made directly to MARC are not tax-deductible.  To learn more about tax-deductible donation options, please see below.

The Montour Area Recreation Commission is working hard to ensure the long-term viability of the parks, trails and other outdoor recreational opportunities in and around Montour County.  If you believe our efforts are worthy of your support, please consider making a donation today.

MARC has established four funds with the Danville Area Community Foundation at the Central Susquehanna Community Foundation to enable donors to make tax-deductible contributions (to the extent allowed by law) to the project(s) of their choosing.

Donors wishing to support MARC’s immediate needs are encouraged to contribute to the Montour Area Recreation Commission – Agency Fund.  Grants from this fund are typically used to support MARC’s ongoing operations and short-term special projects.

Donors wishing to support MARC’s operation of the Montour Preserve are encouraged to contribute to the Montour Area Recreation Commission – Montour Preserve Fund.  Grants from this fund are used to support MARC’s operation and maintenance of the Montour Preserve.

Donors wishing to support the revitalization efforts of Washingtonville are encouraged to contribute to the Montour Area Recreation Commission – Washingtonville Revitalization Fund.  Grants from this fund are used to support park improvements, publicly accessible sites, and outdoor recreational opportunities in Washingtonville Borough, Montour County.

Finally, donors wishing to support the long-term sustainability of the Montour Area Recreation Commission are encouraged to contribute to the Montour Area Recreation Commission Agency Endowment Fund.  Donations made to this fund will support MARC’s efforts in perpetuity, investing the donor’s contributions while annually granting to MARC a portion of the earnings.

If you’d prefer to make your donation by mail, please click here for the mail-in form.

Note: all contributions are administered through the Central Susquehanna Community Foundation, a 501 (c)(3) organization, and are tax deductible to the extent provided by law. IRS regulations require us to state that no goods or services were provided in consideration for your gift and the Central Susquehanna Community Foundation has exclusive legal control over the contributed assets. The official registration and financial information of the Central Susquehanna Community Foundation may be obtained from the PA Dept. of State by calling toll free, within PA, 1-800-732-0999. Registration does not imply endorsement.
